"Growing up in foster care, I was fortunate to have people who kept me connected to friends and activities, helping me stay resilient through difficult times. Years later, a conversation with my young son about gratitude and opportunity sparked a life-changing decision. In 2018, I left my career of 25 years to focus on supporting youth in El Dorado County.
Today, we work with schools, counselors, and social workers to give kids the chance to participate in the simple joys of childhood—like art classes, sports, and prom. Our mission is to provide the support and resources that build resilience, confidence, and a sense of normalcy, empowering each child for a brighter future."
